The Accounting Project Assistant reports to the Director of Accounting and is responsible for assisting the accounting activities related to energy services projects.


  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and procedures related to the maintenance of energy services documentation and ensure that documentation is properly filed, both manually and electronically
  • Provide temporary support for other regions as required
  • Enter Accounts Payable vouchers as need
  • Enter and Issue Purchase Orders as needed
  • Ensure that all documentation has necessary signature approval per the CEB Delegation of Authority Matrix
  • Assist in providing detailed support per individual client contracts to insure accurate and timely client invoicing or other client request fulfilments
  • Other duties/special projects as assigned




  • H.S. Diploma, An Associate’s Degree or similar is preferred but not necessary



  • Able to interact effectively across organizational boundaries to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
  • General familiarity with accounting. Ideally project accounting
  • Able to handle multiple projects and priorities.
  • Must have good analytical skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
  • MS Office computer skills are required.
  • Ability to accurately file large amounts of paperwork in a timely fashion



  • 3-5 years of Accounting experience
  • 3-5 years of General Office experience
  • 1-2 years of project accounting experience
  • Experience with Deltec Vision Software
  • Billing and PO processing experience
  • Previous experience working at an engineering firm or architectural firm a plus
