  • Overview

    The primary function of the Senior Human Resource Generalist (SHRG) is to partner with leadership to provide support regarding employee benefits administration, responding to employee queries, and implementation and maintenance of the CEB HRIS system.  This position will play a pivotal role toward the execution of Human Resources related initiatives.  The position will work closely with all members and roles of the HR team toward developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities including but not limited to affirmative actions/ EEO compliance, job classification, promotions, transfers, performance evaluation, and employee relations. The Sr. HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining data integrity within internal HRIS and acts as the first point of contact for all employee related questions. The SHRG will also be responsible for meeting deadlines, gathering data and responding to requests in a timely fashion. The SHRG will support the Human Resources team with administrative functions.

    Responsibilities

    • Administration of CEB benefits activities including but not limited to leading the yearly Open Enrollment cycle, communication and information sharing with carriers, responding to employee queries.
    • Maintain the HRIS and personnel files (date entry, verification and report writing) and compile reports as needed.
    • Prepare workforce analytics as required (EEOC, AAP, turnover, etc.); Distribute and track company-wide surveys; Coordinate information for reports and presentations; maintain company org charts; assist with KPI coordination.
    • Partner with Payroll to ensure payroll-related HR Activities are complete before each payroll close. Tasks include, but are not limited to preview, input of changes and additions into the HRIS/Payroll ADP system, etc.
    • Partner with and respond to requests from sister companies relative to benefits, pension, IRS/DOL, EEO. Maintain all monthly reports and distribute to appropriate sources.
    • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management. Identify trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management and employees accordingly.
    • Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data including but not limited to issues such as benefit participation, turnover, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.
    • Research and identify software solutions that can affect process improvements and create efficiencies.
    • Work with responsible parties pertaining to special projects and initiatives, as dictated by the VP or Director of Human Resources.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree plus additional courses or seminars related to HR laws, regulations & practices, or equivalent experience.

     Experience:

    • 4 – 8 years progressively responsible for the human resource experience.

    Job Skills:

     

    • Benefits – prior experience in the benefits arena (general benefit questions, open enrollment, carriers)
    • Extensive experience of ADP Workforce Now, including but not limited to, reporting and template creation, input of employee information, troubleshooting
    • Ability to work independently while constantly communicating with team
    • Experience in FMLA, STD, LTD and other related leaves of absence
    • Knowledge of the Payroll function, with experience of the Payroll module of ADP Workforce Now
    • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
    • Strong computer skills (MS office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to be pro-active and multi-task
    • Strong reporting skills
    • Strong time management and organizational skills, coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities a must.
    • Strong customer service focus
