    Con Edison Battery Storage continues to grow and is seeking to hire a Project Manager who will be responsible for the management of the successful deployment, delivery, integration and closeout of our Battery Storage Systems equipment delivery and installation projects.  The employee will be responsible for coordinating with the Business Development counterparts during project handoff and taking over the customer facing communication and coordination.  The employee will be responsible for managing the project to a schedule, customer billings to plan and meeting the team’s business and financial goals.

      • Milwaukee, WI area
      • Valhalla, NY area
      • Cherry Hill, NJ area
      • Remote locations may be considered on an individual basis and may require additional travel.


    Customer Relationship and Information Management

    • Manage the customer’s operations team relationship from project handoff through project closeout.
    • Utilize Microsoft Project to initially schedule and manage progress through project closeout including customer coordination of schedules.
    • Conduct team cadence meetings and drive communication to ensure program milestones meet customer and business team expectations
    • Create an issues management file for all issues encountered on projects in order to document continuous improvement items for team to manage and to assure project completion and punch list items are identified, assigned to a resource, managed and closed in a timely manner.
    • Manage customer information transfers using a submittals and transmittals process.
    • Managing project file systems in accordance with established processes.
    • Coordination with Product Delivery Team to establish and manage customer expectations around product delivery schedules and requirements.
    • Coordinate with Field Commissioning Team members to create and manage field personnel schedules against customer requirements.
    • Coordinate Closeout Documents collection and transmittal to the customer.
    • Engage customer or owner’s engineers to assure that project engineering documentation reflects the requirements for successful integration of our products into facilities.


    Financial Management

    • Create the initial project booking form and initial cost estimate benchmark for all projects and coordinate signoff of the project booking per Con Edison’s Delegation of Authority.
    • Responsible for managing project costs and initiating change orders to achieve financial goals for the projects.
    • Responsible for conducting monthly project financial reviews for each project and updating monthly project performance projections and percentage of completion forecasts.
    • Perform customer invoicing using Con Edison’s financial management system per the contractual requirements.
    • Review and approve all vendor purchase orders and invoices to assure cost has been allocated against cost estimates.


    Process Improvements

    • Establishing or improving financial review processes for all active projects.
    • Providing feedback to Product Delivery and Field Commissioning Team management on improvement of best practices and issue management.




    • Bachelor degree in technical field preferred.
    • 5-10 years of experience in energy efficiency, clean-tech, utilities sector or related field
    • Project Management Experience, PMP Certification a plus
    • Experienced using project management software (e.g. Primavera, Microsoft Project etc.)
    • Project Financial Management experience required
    • Field Construction Management experience a plus.
    • Experience with complex projects with customer facing elements
    • 25% travel required
