ABOUT THE POSITION

The CEBs have a growing renewable pipeline and we are looking to add as an essential member to the Con Edison Development team in Valhalla, NY. The Financial Analyst will help drive the company’s growth in renewable energy assets by supporting project debt and tax-equity origination and performing day-to-day administration relating to financing agreements. Additionally, the Analyst will provide analytical support for other specialty areas of finance such as insurance, treasury and credit.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Administer project finance agreements, maintain positive relationships with lenders, and coordinate project-level cash management with internal departments including Asset Management, Treasury, Accounting and Legal
  • Support project debt and tax-equity origination
  • Participate in special projects and provide analytical support as needed (i.e. insurance procurement, interest rate benchmarks and credit support obligations)

Qualifications

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, business or related area of studied is required
• Master of Businss Administration is a plus

 

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in positions of increasing complexity and responsibility 
• Experienced in banking, project finance or treasury, a plus

 

JOB SKILLS:

• Strong interest in finance and business contracts is required
• Adept at analyzing financial statements
• Working knowledge of Excel (i.e. formulas, vlookups, macros, VBA) and accurately synthesizes data
• An ability to read contracts and summarize contractual terms
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and has an ability to learn quickly and solve problems
• An ability to organize time and information
• Capable of working in a fast paced environment and quickly adapts to changing priorities
