Overview

The Laborer is responsible for assisting peers and superiors in maintaining a clean and secure job site The candidate will perform standard maintenance and custodial functions, grounds keeping, debris removal, hauling and hoisting materials when needed, panel washing and oversight of contractors as required. The ability to use hand and power tools is required as is and knowledge of environmental policies and procedures. Presentation of a positive image of the company both internally and externally is essential.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain grounds at site including custodial activities, landscaping, and debris removal.  
  2. Plant Maintenance- Assist in the cleaning, repair and maintenance of plant components including panel washing; troubleshoot and resolve problems that may arise. Oversee contractors as required
  3. Tools and equipment maintenance- maintain all tools and equipment; pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
  4. Performing like duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Experience:

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a laborer in a renewable energy field or related.

 

Job Skills:

 

  • Pushing/pulling/lifting tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking/climbing/standing extensively during the work day
  • Knowledge of solar power generation equipment and technologies
  • Knowledge of and experience with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi task
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Driver’s license required
